He washed up one mornin’ stuck to the ship’s rail like a barnacle soaked in brine.

No port to his name nor memory in his head, he came at just the right tide, and though he swore he’d play for only a couple o’ nights, he clung on like a man wrestlin’ with Death hisself.

The Castaway can wring a tune out o’ any scrap he lays hands on, and the crew swear that in his music ye can hear the voices o’ them what sank before him.

Apareció una mañana pegado a la borda como un molusco empapado en sal.

Sin puerto ni memoria, llegó en el momento preciso y aunque decía que solo tocaría un par de noches se quedó como quien se aferra a la vida con uñas y dientes.

El Náufrago puede sacarle sonido a todo lo que encuentra y la tripulación jura que en su música se oyen las voces de los que se hundieron antes que él.

They say the tale goes he once served in the galley o’ Hell itself, till the Devil hisself threw ’im out for usin’ too much fire in his stew and makin’ the damned dance instead o’ beg fer mercy.

Since that cursed day, he’s roamed far lands with his bass slung on his back, till he found our crew, where his strings crackle and roar, shakin’ the deck like a boilin’ cauldron ready to blow!

Cuenta la leyenda que sirvió en las cocinas del infierno y que el mismísimo diablo lo echó por usar demasiado picante y por hacer que los condenados bailaran en vez de suplicar.

Desde entonces, vagó por tierras lejanas con su bajo al hombro hasta llegar a nuestra tripulación donde sus cuerdas chisporrotean y hacen vibrar al suelo como un caldero hirviendo a punto de explotar.
